The bank stays at 36 volts and the amp hours double. The continuous amperage goes up too, which matters just as much. Garmin's Force Kraken install instructions call for a bank capable of supplying 60 amps continuously, and Minn Kota's QUEST draws up to 60 amps. If a bank cannot deliver it, the motor runs fine at cruising speed and then loses power under hard throttle. An integrated charging lead lets one 36V charger service both batteries at once. The harness is built from UL1426 tinned copper with heat-shrink sealed splices and matched leg lengths, so both batteries carry an even share of the load. A 100Ah lithium battery delivers roughly the usable capacity of a 200Ah lead-acid battery, which is the other half of why two batteries in parallel add up to a full day on the water instead of half of one.
