Low Friction Ring Strap Eye - Stainless Steel For the concerning dinghy sailor. Barton has offered stainless steel deck eyes for a long while, but as performance on boats improves, the desire to reduce friction on deck fixings and turning points of lines becomes more important. By adding the low friction ring that is pressed into the stainless steel strap, it gives a low profile and low friction rope guide for small lines. This can be used with a range of lines for sailing boats using small-diameter ropes. The HV500 anodized coating on the Low Friction Rings produced by Barton gives the ultimate performance and durability. The hard anodizing feature means there is only 15% load-bearing friction on this fitting.
